Line-up
The band's third album, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a more ferocious, consistent effort that had an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Bobby Kimball's growing virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
