World of Warcraft - item upgrading (like it)

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a single unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences too. Upgrades can make items inaccessible, unless you're very lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their performance. This can boost the defense base of a chest or helm while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. However the 3% does not mean that it will hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrade menu, using the arrows that are circling. The item upgrader mod will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the greater health you'll get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each level will differ. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For instance the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a decent-sized group of adversaries in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a handful of friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock perks for your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to let you escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion used and the item upgrader's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will produce when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.

There were a few changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance have now a duration of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item. The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't important such as a Thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be traded out at any time without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold, or fragments from a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them a popular alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded then their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment that will not replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
