World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the item to which it is applied (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved following the reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is Best item upgrade to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside since the item upgrader kit (This Web site) may become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player continuously enters or leaves the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This Best item upgrader is extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition which means that the player has to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item upgrader mod will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than standard gear. For instance they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to bring each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses mentioned above.
