Donda passed away suddenly in November 2007 following a cosmetic procedure.

The mother-of-one, who was her son's manager, died of heart failure due to multiple post-operative factors.

Kanye's mourning and grief around his mother's death has been heavily documented in music ever since.

He first discussed her death musically on the album 808s and Heartbreak, and his two most recent albums, DONDA and DONDA 2, were named after her.
