Shocked: Jay Z's business partner Kareem 'Biggs' Burke could not believe not believe his ears at Kanye West's 'don't call me' rant

He shook the world of rap when he slated his mentor Jay Z in front of thousands on-stage.

And now the latter star's business partner Kareem 'Biggs' Burke has spoken out to voice his shock and disappointment at Kanye West over his 'don't call me' rant, where he complained about a conversation he had with his old friend on the phone after Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery ordeal.

The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder, who said he misses 'the old Kanye,' could not believe his ears when the College Dropout star voiced anger during a gig last week about the fact his children had never played with the former drug dealer's.

He told Page Six: 'I was shocked to hear what Kanye said onstage. There was never anything rumbling . . . so when you hear these things in public, it's a little shocking.

'The last I saw (Kanye) he spoke really highly of Jay. I'm not sure about the relationship at this point.

'I spoke to Jay (after Kanye's rant) and we're both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.'

And he believes 39-year-old Kanye may be over emotional due to personal issues he is going through at the moment.

He said: 'From what I know of Kanye, he's usually really honest. So it sounds like something he's going through right now.

Long-time friends Jay, 46, and Kanye have had a frosty relationship since the rapper started romancing Kim Kardashian five years ago.

But the rift in the rappers' 16-year-long friendship became even more apparent when West complained about Jay during a Saint Pablo Tour date in Seattle on Wednesday. 'Don't call me, after the robbery, and say "how you feelin?" You wanna know how I'm feelin? Come by the house!'

The Stronger hit maker was referring to wife Kim's October 3 $11m robbery in Paris that left her bound and gagged. 

Previously a source claimed Jay has not made more of an effort to see the Gold Digger singer because he thinks the guy is a 'nut job.'

It was also claimed Jay , who is wed to singer Beyonce, has only 'tolerated' West for business reasons.

Their 2011 album Watch The Throne 'made a lot of money,' the music insider added. 

'Jay was like, "I'm gonna knock this out. We're going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that,"' said the source.

And these days it seems as if Jay doesn't feel like West - who flaunts his relationship with the Kardashians and has become a designer with Adidas - is worth the effort.

'The reality is that Jay doesn't want that much to do with him. He likes his own space and is private. They're very much not the same person. Jay's immediate circle is very insular, and Kanye is just a guy who always wants something in the spotlight.'

Kanye said that there will never be a sequel to his highly-popular 2011 collaborative album with Jay Z titled Watch The Throne. 

He explained that Jay Z had vetoed the collaboration 'because of some TIDAL-Apple bulls***.' 

The two have been collaborators for over a decade and a half as the Yeezy creator helped revitalize the 99 Problems hitmaker's career by contributing to The Blueprint released in 2001.

Kanye even wrote a song dedicated to Jay Z - titled Big Brother - on his 2007 Grammy Award winning album Graduation.
